  1. I learned about volcanoes, like the passage said, "a volcano is a mountain that opens downward to a pool of molten rock below the surface of the earth." A volcano is a mountain that opens and lava comes out of it. I also learned that lava is like magma. It is very hot and it can burn up rocks. A volcano can destroy a city. Volcanoes are dangerous, so be careful!

  2. When i open the websites i learned about lightning. I learned that lighting is when there a great thunder in a second the lightning come. It is really harmful and is very hot up to 54000. I am really surprised are you.Mostly the light don't hit the earth stays in the cloud, but if it touches the ground it burn everything what is there. Is a farmer whole year grew his crops very well and the lightning is going to hit it is going to ruined his whole year work, even stick is not going to left everything is going to burn. If it drops on a person the person dies. It don't has any sound. Sound go faster than the thing we see. So the thunder come first and then the flash of the lightning comes. So it harms in many ways and sometimes it means that the storm is coming.

  4. Thank you all for your comments. I hope you continue to enjoy this website. It might even help you with your science homework.
Hadjira--one comment I want to direct to you: It does snow in the US. In some places it snows so much an area can get more than 50 inches of snow a winter. We happen to live in one of the hottest places in this country, so that's why some people have never seen snow. But you know what? Last year it snowed! Here! It was very exciting for some of the students who had never seen snow. Happy blogging!
