Graffiti is a controversial.  (If you don't know what controversial means, look it up in a dictionary, please.)  Some people believe that murals such as the one to the left is art, and others believe it is defacement.  Defacement is when you destroy property that doesn't belong to you.  But, what if someone wanted their walls spray-painted and hired a graffiti artist to do it, would that be art?  Is graffiti ever art?  If you think it is, explain why and when graffiti is art.  If you think no, do you think graffiti is always defacement?  Please explain your thoughts as clearly as possible.

I think
It is an art because it is a unique way to show your talents and express yourself.

If you can consider typography an art form then graffiti is an art form.

But if u don't then it isn't an art

i think that graffiti is an art because sometimes is a way to express your feelings, to show that you have talents, or sometimes to show that you can do something...
graffiti is art because you are drawing or writing with cool letters and that is art...

I think it's art and bandalism because if you use it as a distraction at your house or in your property it's art, but if you do it to hurt somrbodies feelings or to damage property it's bandalism.
