Spring Fever is here! Time to make a new holiday-

March 26th is “Make up Your Own Holiday Day.”  So, create your own holiday!  Keep the following in mind:
  • The day
  • The reason for celebrating
  • Special events that will take place
  • Any type of symbols that will be associated with your holiday

    Yes I am sick. Something is wrong with my stomach. I've been resting since I left school yesterday. It's not fun being in pain. I'm going to watch your video now. I hope you are enjoying this beautiful spring weather!

    ms. lyons I celabrate Semana Santa that is the weeked of the saints . I if that was my holiday .It will have a whole weeked of if Semana Santa if It was my holiday.

    Hi Walter!
    Thanks for responding to the blog. The prompt is asking for you to create your own holiday. Semana Santa is celebrated by many people, and that is a beautiful tradition. But, what the prompt is asking you to do is to think, create, a new holiday. What day would it be? Are there any symbols, colors, rituals a person needs to do? Think about that. All of my students need to get into the habit of reading exactly what these prompts are asking you to do. If you only write about what you want to write about, you are not responding to the prompt.
