Time for a brainteaser!
You are in a room that has 3 switches and a closed door. The switches control 3 light bulbs on the other side of the door. Once you open the door, you may never touch the switches again.
How can you definitively tell which switch is connected to each of the light bulbs?

with the picture shown above i would say the middle light becuse even if the lights where on horazontal or vertical the middle light would be the brightest so i think thats the best choices

Shirley, why do you have the same response as Mario? Very interesting. Neither one of you is correct. Neither one of you is correct. (I wrote that twice for both of you. :) ) One clue: the picture I used is related to the question only because it has light bulbs in it. It's only a picture. Oh well, if no one can think of the answer, sooner or later, I'll let you know. I'm hoping one of my students will figure it out, so I'm going to give you more time. See you tomorrow!
